Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar

We had an amazing time! The service is amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us frequently. We ordered the ribeye for 2 and it was good but not out of the world. The main reason is that cut of meat was a little tough. The manager walked by and even noticed it so he gave us a discount on the plate. The bread, gluten free bread, side items, drinks and dessert were great though! Overall, nice ambiance led to a great date night. We'll give the steak another chance!

Overall good experience. This is the second time coming here with a few friends. We sat at a high top table. The staff is very friendly. Our drink waiter Jalen was knowledgeable, attentive, and made our experience more enjoyable! Atty was our server she was very welcoming and ensured our drinks were filled.

I'm from New York and in San Antonio visiting a friend. He wanted to try this place as he loves Old Fashion's. We sat at the bar and Dane was our bartender. Dane was absolutely awesome! He made a couple Old Fashion's and my friend very much enjoyed them. I ordered an Expresso Martini and also had an Irish Coffee. Both were so good! I definitely recommend this place and will come back when in the area again. Dane, thank you for the great drinks and good luck in your future endeavors!

My husband and I were invited to this restaurant by some friends. We had a 5pm reservation and the table was ready on time. Destiney was our waitress and she was great. She took the time to go over the drink menu with me and made a few recommendations. The food came to the table at a perfect amount of time and all 6 of us were served at the same time. The presentation of all of the dishes we ordered was great. I got a chance to meet the manager Lesley because she stopped our table to see how things were going. I told her that we’d just recently moved to Texas and after dinner we were surprised to receive a BIG SLICE of cake with a sign that said “Welcome to Texas”!!! That was cool! I will be back for sure!

Finally made it to Whiskey Cake. What wonderful and delicious experience! Our waitress Randy was exceptional!! She made great recommendations on our drinks and foods. The Whiskey cake was the cherry on top. Not too sweet and homemade whipping cream!! One note: Hostesses guiding their guest to their tables should be aware of their attire to include a bra.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! I had the goat cheese fondue and the farm salad. My partner had the deviled eggs and the roasted garlic hummus. We each had the whiskey flight and ended with sharing the whiskey cake. The ambiance was wonderful and our server was attentive. We interacted with other diners and had an absolutely wonderful experience! We will definitely be back!

From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and taken care of — friendly, attentive, and genuinely great at what they do. The food was absolutely fantastic, fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Every bite made it clear that quality is a top priority here. Service was equally outstanding — prompt without being rushed, and every detail felt intentional. What stood out most for me, though, was the ambiance. The vibe of the restaurant is incredible — a warm, inviting layout with decor that feels both stylish and comfortable. You can tell that a lot of care went into the small, purposeful choices throughout the space, creating a unique atmosphere that adds to the whole experience. Overall, Whisky Cake isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a place you want to linger, enjoy, and come back to. Highly recommended!

We were getting tired of the same places at La Cantera. Tried Whiskey Cake and not only did we have a delicious dinner, but had a great time. Our server was very attentive and made excellent recommendations on food and drinks. Recommend their WC old fashion. The rotisserie chicken was excellent as was the chicken and waffles. It’s just a different type of menu when the typical gets old. Highly recommend.
